Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation, Airbnb, and the North Texas Chapter of United Spinal Association, emergency help is available for Texans with spinal cord injuries or spinal cord-related diseases who’ve been impacted by disaster.
If You’re Experiencing Hardship, Reach Out
Has your home, wheelchair, or basic mobility been affected by:

Hail

Vandalism or civil unrest

Utility or power outages

Extreme heat or cold

Drought or high winds
You’re not alone—and you don’t have to face it alone.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for assistance, you must:

Have a spinal cord injury or spinal cord-related disease
-
Live in Texas
-
Have been affected by a weather-related disaster or crisis that impacts your daily life or access to mobility
What You Can Expect
Most applicants receive between $1,000 and $5,000 to help with urgent needs related to:

Emergency relocation or temporary housing

Wheelchair or medical equipment repair or replacement

Home repairs to restore safety and accessibility

Essential utilities and basic needs
